Warriors Qualify For Tournament of Champions
This summer seven high school students qualified to participate in the World Scholar's Cup Tournament of Champions, held at Yale University this November. Participation was granted after an impressive showing in the global round of competition, held in Barcelona, Spain in July. The World Scholar's Cup reaches 10's of thousands of students in dozens of countries and is designed to inspire of global community of future scholars and leaders.
Club sponsor and TWCA English teacher, Crystal Chapman, said the participating students worked incredibly hard to prepare for their performance on a global stage. "I am so grateful to the past leaders who taught these students and built in them a foundation of scholarship," she said. "I thank our families for valuing the experience and education a trip abroad affords. And, most importantly, I thank these students who spent so much extra time studying on top of all of their other commitments; they are amazing!"
