Warrior Nation fuels TWCA Volleyball as district play approaches
The TWCA campus is buzzing.
Fueled by an energetic and passionate fan base, the Warrior Volleyball team is off to a scorching start in the 2022 season. Now, it’s about maintaining that momentum.
Last Thursday, the Warriors took on Bay Area Christian in a loud and electric atmosphere.
The Warriors came out on top in the first two sets in controlling fashion. After falling behind 24-16 in the 3rd set, they rallied for seven straight points. Though they eventually lost the set 25-23, they carried their momentum from the run in the third set into the fourth set, and stayed in control for the entirety of the final set, taking the win.
With only one more match before district play begins, TWCA knows it’s time to buckle down.
“We hope to carry the same amount of energy we have carried so far throughout district play and the playoffs,” senior setter Katie Wise said. “We love using the fans as extra energy, and feeding off of their energy to go on rallies and keep our momentum rolling.”
The Warriors play Aggieland Homeschool on Thursday, September 1st at 7:00 p.m at home in the Daniel Student Life Center Gym.
With the atmosphere that Warrior Nation has created so far this season powering them, the Warriors are poised to ride the energy in the SLC to another home win, and will look to carry that momentum into their district home opener against Fort Bend Christian Academy on Tuesday, September 6th.
