After a tough game on the road last week, The Woodlands Christian Academy Warriors (1-1) return home to face St. Pius X at 7 p.m. in the familiar Warrior Stadium on TWCA’s campus.

The school is expecting a generous turnout from Warrior Nation to participate in the “Gold Out” theme in honor of Childhood Cancer.

On the field, the Warriors will need to make a few adjustments to get back on track in the win column.

Assistant Coach Steven Svendsen thinks “controlling the line of scrimmage and [winning] the turnover battle,” will be a key factor in winning the football game. “The non-district schedule has been tough,” Svendsen added, and the Panthers of St. Pius X will be another test for the Warriors. The TWCA coaching staff is hoping the pre-district schedule will prepare their team for the tough district schedule ahead.

Another key factor in winning the football game tonight will be to keep senior Ryan Leslie running the ball like he has. He opened the season with two great games including the season opener at home where Leslie rushed for 228 yds on 30 carries. Warrior Nation is expecting another big night from him.

The Warrior Walk starts at 6:45 p.m. and the forecast shows it will be a great night for some football. Warrior Nation is excited on campus, and ready to show out in gold.
