TWCA Places 6th at TAPPS Academic, Fine Arts, and Speech Meet

The Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) hosts an Academic, Fine Arts, and Speech Meet every year in Waco, TX.  Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the meet was held virtually this year. While the competition experience was different, it afforded students the opportunity to compete academically. 

Our students were flexible and performed well, demonstrating excellence! TWCA placed 6^th overall in the TAPPS 5A State Competition. Congratulations, Warriors!

The following students won individual awards at the State level:

Fern Shirley – 5^th place Ready Writing

William Bennett – 7^th place Current Events

Merritt Ruffner – 8^th place Literary Criticism

Sarah McGrath – 2^nd place Social Studies

Katelyn McGrath – 6^th place Social Studies

Caleb Bigler – 2^nd place Poetry

Catherine Berger – 3^rd place Prose, 2^nd place Original Oratory

Amelia Ousley – 3^rd place Solo Acting
