At The Woodlands Christian Academy, one of our Core Values is "We Celebrate."
On Wednesday, September 13th, members of the high school faculty and staff gathered in the Micah 3rd floor commons area to celebrate an astounding 38 Warriors, both current students (23) and graduated seniors (15), who earned the highest possible grade — a "5" — on an Advanced Placement® (AP) Exam in the spring of 2023.
According to the College Board, "The Advanced Placement® Program enables willing and academically prepared students to pursue college-level studies while still in high school."
AP Exams are administered by the College Board and "are standardized exams designed to measure how well you’ve mastered the content and skills of a specific AP course. Most AP courses have an end-of-year exam, but a few courses have different ways to assess what you’ve learned."
Students who score a "5" on an exam are deemed "extremely well qualified" in that subject. A "5" on an exam would earn an equivalent A+ or A in a college level course.
In total our 38 TWCA students earned a combined 63 "5s" in the last testing cycle! Below are the students who earned a 5 and their test subject(s).
