Third Graders Learn About Ecosystems by Digging on Campus
Third graders in Ms. Goedeke’s Science Lab took the classroom outside to explore ecosystems. With shovels and gloves in tow, students travelled just beyond the Joshua Building for a closer look at how living systems feed off of one another. The dirt collected was sifted into large tubs and the remaining samples were examined under a magnifying lens. They then compared and contrasted the different findings depending on location and depth. What a fun way to explore the wonders of how nature works together!
