Juniors, Mary McKenny, Cooper Bennett and Brad Michel represented Interact Club at the Rotary Youth Leadership Award. The students learned leadership techniques and problem solving skills while interacting with students from across Montgomery County. Students were split into groups where they compared and contrasted ideas while working toward a common goal.
RYLA not only developed me as a leader, but it also helped me develop socially. I went out of my comfort zone and made a bunch of new friends who I continue to talk to daily. RYLA taught us how to be and inclusive leader and how to help others who are different from us. The group I was a part of worked cooperatively as a team and problem solved together. RYLA changed my life for the better.
