On Thursday, November 9th, six Warriors became part of a special class of athletes, and signed their letters of intent to play their sports at the collegiate level. 

Sarah Chappelle, Tyler Dunham, Chase Fuentes, Alex Malanga, Kai Parker and Camille Young were joined by family, friends, classmates and the TWCA staff in the Daniel Gymnasium as each athlete was recognized for their accomplishments.

Congratulations to each of the following Warriors! 

Sarah Chappelle - Track & Field - Hillsdale College

Sarah Chappelle

Sarah is a 4-year letterman for the Warrior Track Team. She signed to run track at Hillsdale College. Coach Earle said, “Sarah is likely one of the strongest student-leaders I have ever had the chance to work with during my career, I am so incredibly excited for her to compete in Track & Field at the next level. Hillsdale College offers her the challenges in all three areas of her life – athletically, academically, but more important, spiritually."

 

Tyler Dunham - Baseball - University of St. Thomas

Tyler Dunham

Tyler is a 2-year letterman for the Warrior baseball team. Tyler signed to play for the University of St. Thomas. Coach Cleveland said, “Tyler has been a great addition to the Warrior Baseball program. He is a great teammate that has worked really hard and deserves this chance to play at the next level. Tyler has a big role this spring season for the Warriors, and I expect him to be a big part of our season.”

 

Chase Fuentes - Baseball - Tyler Junior College

Chase Fuentes

Chase is a 4-year letterman for the Warrior baseball team. He signed to play at Tyler Junior College. Coach Cleveland said, “Chase is one of the hardest working players he has ever coached. He has put in countless hours working on his game. Chase is a fantastic teammate and is the type of kid that makes coaches get in this profession. Chase has been a great leader and definition of a Warrior These past four years have flown by and we look forward to seeing God's plans play out for him.”

 

Alex Malanga - Golf - Sam Houston State University

Alex Malanga

Alex is a 3-year letterman for the Warrior golf team. He signed to play at Sam Houston State University. Coach Field said, "Alex has a great work ethic and embodies what it means to B3rd as a teammate and in his personal life. Sam Houston is getting a great student, great golfer, and a fantastic person that will positively impact their program for many years."

Kai Parker - Baseball - Grayson College

Kai Parker

Kai is a 4-year letterman for the Warrior baseball team. He signed to play at Grayson College. Coach Cleveland said, “Kai is the heartbeat of the Warrior baseball program. It will not seem right for Kai to not a part of the Warrior program next year. Kai is a very talented athlete that has not scratched the surface of the potential he has. Kai has played a big part of TWCA baseball during his tenure, and we are hoping it is in God's plan to have him back this season. Grayson College is getting a good one."

 

Camille Young - Soccer - Trinity University

Camille Young

Camille is a 4-year letterman for the Warrior soccer team. She signed to play at Trinity University. Coach Riley said, “Camille possess wisdom beyond her years and plays with grit. Her composure and confidence truly sets her apart from others. What an honor it has been to be a part of her soccer journey. We wish her great success in her collegiate career at Trinity!”
