Seven TWCA Athletes Sign Letters of Intent on National Signing Day

On Wednesday, November 10th, seven TWCA seniors signed their Letters of Intent to continue their athletic and academic careers in college in front of friends, family and their fellow Warriors. 

Austin Benigni - Basketball - Naval Academy

Austin Benigni is a 3 year letterman for the Warrior Basketball team this year. He signed to play basketball for the Naval Academy. Austin’s tenacious play on the basketball court, along with his competitive drive has made him loved by Warrior Nation. As a student he has worked hard to earn this very prestigious opportunity at the Naval Academy and we wish him the best of luck in the future.

Ethan Bridges - Golf - Florida Southern College 

Ethan is a 4 year letterman for the Warrior Golf Team. He signed to play golf for Florida Southern. Coach McNeese said, "Ethan always sets high expectations for himself and out team so that we always keep the program moving forward."

Arrington Eason - Baseball - Grambling State University 

This is Arrington’s first year to play baseball at TWCA. He signed to play baseball at Grambling State University. Coach Cleveland said, "Arrington is Really talented player that brings a lot to the table. We are excited to have him at TWCA and looking for big things from him this season."

Mackenzie Morris - Softball - Houston Baptist University

Mackenzie is a 2 year letterman for the Warrior softball team. She signed to play softball at Houston Baptist University. Coach Maddock said, "Mackenzie is an incredible talent that she is excited to coach this year." As a former HBU Softball alumni herself, coach said McKenzie’s kindness and on the field leadership will really benefit the Huskies.

Chanse Perkins - Basketball - West Point Academy

Chanse is a 3 year letterman for the Warrior basketball team. He is signing today to to play basketball with West Point. Chanse is a consistent athlete that fully embodies what it means to be a Warrior on and off the basketball court. As a student he is diligent and has a clear vision for his future.

Carson Queck - Baseball - Kansas State University

Carson is a 4 year letterman for the Warrior baseball team. He is signing today to play baseball at Kansas State University. Coach Cleveland said, "Carson is an extremely talented and hard working kid, that has put in the time to get where he is today. He has had a great 3 years at TWCA and looking for an even better senior year."

Lindsay Worthington - Soccer - Samford University

Lindsay is a 4 year letterman for the Warrior Soccer Team. She is signing today to play soccer at Samford University. Coach Riley said, "Lindsay plays with assurance, humility and passion. She will leave behind an incredible legacy in the girl’s soccer program. Samford will be very blessed to have such a dynamic player as Lindsay."


"Today these 7 students will become part of a special class of athletes," Tanner Field, Coordinator of Sports Information, told the athletes. "The current research shows that only about 3% of all high school athletes receive an opportunity to play at the collegiate level. On behalf of the school and all of Warrior Nation, we are extremely proud of your accomplishments and you will be missed. You will always have a home at The Woodlands Christian Academy, and we are excited to celebrate your success moving forward.”
