Still dark out and in their pajamas, seniors arrived on campus extra early to watch the sunrise together.  A special event, Senior Sunrise was created to celebrate our seniors, and to encourage and challenge them for the big year ahead.

The seniors lounged and ate breakfast on the football field while keeping their ears open for their raffle number in hopes of winning a dorm room door prize. Student speakers shared words of wisdom with their peers.

Ellie Johnson reminded the seniors that God is close, always at work, even when it doesn’t seem like it. Ezekiel Jurado challenged the seniors to not hold grudges, but to give every issue to God, trusting he will work everything out for good.

Senior year is a special time in life, as our students want to make the most of their final year of high school. Staff and faculty view senior year as valuable and precious, a time of preparation for college and Kingdom work ahead. Mr. Clark left the students with a challenge to seize every opportunity while at Woodlands Christian, reminding them that teachers are supportive and readily available. We are so excited to see how God will use this year to mold and shape our seniors for his glory.
