On February 7, 2020, Mrs. Masau’s physics classes traveled to Texas A&M University. Dr. Tatiana Erukhimova and her students conducted a live physics show, similar to a magic show, with tricks about physics. Demonstrations included discrepant events in which what happens is counterintuitive and seems to defy our understanding of the world. Senior Alexa Cyr commented, “Going to a real university was interesting and it showed how what we learn in class can be applied to real world problems.” The students finished the exhibition with an explosion of liquid nitrogen outside the physics building. At the end of the day, senior Nick Bryngelson commented, “The facilities were great and it makes me want to go to A&M even more.”
