New Look Warriors Seek to Slay the Dragons
The TWCA Warrior Football team is looking to have a great season with a new, but familiar face leading the way, Coach Kolby Hull.
There is a new excitement on the team as they prepare for the 2022 season.
“A lot of guys having a lot of experience. There are a lot of seniors on the team that will contribute in a big way,” Hull said about the strength of his team.
On the other hand, Coach Hull added that “a weakness right now is just a matter of gelling guys together. With having new faces, it’s just a matter of making sure that everyone comes together and is on the same page.”
Coach Hull’s goals for this season are pretty simple, get better each and every week. He hopes that leading into district play, the team will be full of confidence.
The Warriors will be facing cross-town rival, the John Cooper Dragons in Week 1.
The game will take place on August 26th at 7pm at Warrior Stadium on TWCA’s campus.
There is a lot of hype and energy leading into the game, not only because it is the first game, but also because this is a rivalry game.
The Cooper Dragons won the 3A SPC Championship in 2021 and hope to knock off the Warriors at their home field.
“Rivalries are just created in your head,” Hull said. "We are not caught up in who the opponent is, at the end of the day football is football.”
This game is sure to be a good one, and the atmosphere is expected to be electric.
