What did you do before coming here? Any notable or interesting past jobs? I was teaching and coaching at The Woodlands High School.

How long have you worked in education? This is my 32nd year in education.

What do you look forward to most about this school year? I look forward to developing relationships with my students and players. I also look forward to teaching at a school grounded in biblical and spiritual growth.

What attracted you to TWCA? Great reputation, wholesome environment.

What’s been the best part of life at TWCA so far? The best part of life at TWCA so far has been the willingness of people to help when you have questions. The teachers around me, especially, have been incredible.

How do you see God working in you, your students and/or at TWCA? I see a special, Christ-centered school that has made me realize I have room to improve in my personal relationship with Christ. Our students and staff serve as daily reminders of how special this place is.

What do you like to do for fun? I like to travel and plan to do much more. I like to visit my daughters and 2 grandsons. I also like to watch sports and play golf, though I am not very good.

Tell us something interesting about you/fun fact - I am a news nerd. I watch the news twice daily to keep up with what is going on. My 40th anniversary is March 6! My wife, Debbie, and I own a dress shop called Crane’s Dress Boutique. Of course she does all the work as it is her true dream and passion. We sell mother-of-the-bride dresses, guest of wedding dresses, prom dresses and homecoming dresses.

What attracted you to TWCA? There are so many wonderful aspects of TWCA. From the moment you step on campus, it is readily evident that everyone here is valued.  The leadership clearly loves what they are doing and cares about all aspects of the students’ lives.  Both faculty and students are always happy and smiling.

Before coming to TWCA I worked for a short time in HISD as the robotics teacher while I completed my doctorate in Educational Leadership and Innovation. In the past, I worked as a technology coach and teacher in the Middle East. How do you see God working in you, your students and/or at TWCA? My teaching philosophy is that – nobody cares how much you know until they know how much you care. My mission as an educator is to inspire students to love the process of learning and become inquirers, creators and problem solvers with a Godly Worldview.

What do you like to do for fun? I enjoy writing and spending time with family.

Tell us something interesting about you/fun fact - I went skydiving in Dubai in February 2020.
