High School Students Place at Debate Tournament

It was the end of the fall semester, when teachers and students typically rejoice and head home to relax for Christmas break, but Mrs. King had something else in mind. There was a speech and debate tournament scheduled at Spring High School on Friday, December 17, and Saturday, December 18. When she saw the dates were during Christmas break, she could have opted to not sign up. Instead, Mrs. King was determined to give her speech and debate students an opportunity to compete. 

It’s a good thing she did, because the following students competed — Will Bennett, Alex Boyd, Jackie Dillard, Josh Dunn, Madison Frey, Ava Fuentes and Amelia Ousley— and several students advanced in multiple rounds of events with a handful placing! They did an amazing job and we are so proud of our Warriors for their hard work, dedication and commitment.
