Celebrating Grand Days
On November 17-18, TWCA hosted Grand Days – a time to celebrate and honor our grandparents and grand-friends. Grand Days started on Thursday evening with a band performance, middle school basketball games and a varsity girls soccer game. It was a bustling evening as families took photos in the SLC and grabbed Warrior spirit wear at The Armory pop-up shop. The smell of smoked brisket and pulled pork wafted through the air, luring hungry fans to the newly updated Grove where the Warrior Cookers served a delicious bar-b-que meal.
On Friday, lower school students put on a special performance titled, “Grand Ole Decades,” celebrating the different decades grandparents have lived through, leaving many reminiscent of the 1950’s when “Disneyland opened, Elizabeth II became Queen of England, and gas was just 27 cents a gallon!” Students performed with poise, energy and their best singing voices! Grandparents couldn’t put their cameras down between songs, solo piano performances and our Drum Fit kids, earning these students a standing ovation!
Lower school students beamed with pride as they showed their grandparents around campus and walked them to their classrooms. Likewise, grandparents were excited to see what life is like at TWCA for their little ones. Families posed for a keepsake photo, enjoyed donuts and shopped the book fair.
Hundreds of grandparents visited campus, both traveling near and far. Thank you so much for joining us for Grand Days! We are blessed to be able to share our TWCA campus with you.
