Night In The Woods
I am so thankful to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for this awesome opportunity to direct this show. For the past month, students have been working hard in rehearsals to bring Charles Dicken’s classic alive. Students have chosen to either act in the play, paint sets or work backstage.
For this show we do not have just one particular verse, but a book, and that book is Romans. The theme that stands out to me for Christmas Carol is Repentance. Turning away from your old ways and changing into something better. Another thing I love about this story is that a man, who by no means deserves a second chance, gets a second chance to change before it’s too late.
That is why I choose Romans, because we, who are sinners get another chance even though we don’t deserve it. I hope this story serves a reminder how we were lost in sin but was given a second chance when we did not deserve it.
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. - Romans 10:9
I am so grateful for my amazing Fine Arts colleagues, Administration, supportive parents, and amazingly talented students for making this performance possible. We hope that you will leave this show in the Christmas spirit! Thank you for coming and we hope to see you again for our spring productions.
