Mission Statement

The Woodlands Christian Academy is an independent, Christ-centered college preparatory school that integrates learning with Biblical faith and spiritual growth, and challenges students to reach their highest potential – intellectually, creatively, physically and socially – for the glory of Jesus Christ.

Core Values

We Relate.
We Celebrate.
We Transform.

Dear Woodlands
Christian Families:

At The Woodlands Christian Academy, we are enthusiastically anticipating the start of the 2020-2021 school year! We miss your children, and we look forward to seeing their smiling faces back on campus.

Classes will begin on August 12, and we will follow our previously published school calendar. We have made numerous physical enhancements to our campus and updated our policies so students will be able to learn together here at school in a safe environment.

Note that as an independent school with 700 students, we are not mandated to follow any decisions of CISD, a district with over 60,000 students. Unless a government agency requires us to close the school, we plan to conduct classes here on our campus. However, because there is still so much uncertainty about best practices during this pandemic, we are proceeding thoughtfully and carefully.  We have developed this re-opening plan that allows for flexibility and transparency while prioritizing the health and safety of our school community. This plan outlines three possible scenarios as follows:

•  On-campus learning with health and physical distancing protocols

•  Hybrid learning

•  Campus closed distance learning

We thank you in advance for understanding that these scenarios are fluid and subject to change frequently.  If you have specific questions related to your child, please contact Patty Bruha, PK - 6th grade principal (, or Stephen Clark, 7th - 12th grade principal (

Updates will be made to this plan based on information provided by the CDC, and applicable federal, state, local, health and accreditation agencies.  For the most up-to-date information, check your email often and follow our social media channels.

Although our methods of delivery may fluctuate throughout the year, our focus will remain on our mission to equip warriors for Christ - spiritually, academically, physically and socially - through relationships, transformation and celebration.

We are grateful for your partnership in the education of your children, and we will continue to challenge them with a rigorous Christ-centered education.

Serving Him,

Julie H. Ambler
