Campaigns are large-scale, special fundraising initiatives for specific and target projects. Campaigns provide the additional financial resources necessary for major enhancements to Woodlands Christian, and are therefore frequently transformative in nature. Each campaign serves to sustain and improve The Woodlands Christian Academy and the experience it provides for its students.
Woodlands Christian’s growing enrollment is consistent with the long-term goal of steadily expanding our ministry to serve 900 students. This target enrollment will preserve the ideal faculty to student ratio that is vital to a caring educational community where students and faculty know each other well, while at the same time providing the economies of scale needed to optimize the school’s academic and extracurricular programs at a reasonable cost.
While Woodlands Christian’s leadership and Governance Board are enthusiastic about our continued growth, we also recognize that growth presents new challenges. Our academic and athletic facilities are being stretched to the limit. Over 100 qualified promising students were denied admission because of lack of space. Fortunately The Build. Grow. Excel. Campaign that was launched in 2012 was an amazing success. The goal of raising $3.5 million to construct a permanent lower school classroom building was met in a record 11 months. Initially, the building will accommodate all of our 1st through 8th grade students, and open up space for additional lower school students for the 2014-2015 academic year.
