A Culture of Giving
"But just as you excel in everything, in faith, in speech, in knowledge,
in complete earnestness and in love for us, see that you excel in this grace of giving." II Corinthians 8:7
The Woodlands Christian Academy was founded by a group of pastors and individuals who wanted to give families an opportunity to educate their children in a Christian environment that would integrate Biblical principles while rigorously challenging students academically to prepare them for college. These individuals knew that by participating in Christ-centered education, students would be prepared for a lifetime of leadership and service for the sake of the Kingdom. These community members gave selflessly of their time, abilities and resources to make The Woodlands Christian Academy what it is today – a school where students can reach their highest potential -spiritually, academically, physically, and socially – for the Glory of Jesus Christ.
Woodlands Christian is mindful of the fact that we are only here because of the generosity of our founders, and we seek to build upon that same spirit of philanthropy today. From the Lower School, where students participate in mission support, to the Upper School, where students lead service projects, raise money to rebuild youth shelters and log almost 7,000 hours of community services yearly, Woodlands Christian instills the importance of giving to humanity.
At Woodlands Christian, we equip servant leaders to impact their world and eternity for Jesus Christ. Our students reflect a generous spirit because the adults in their lives model philanthropic behavior. Contribution levels have reached 99% of our parents and 100% of faculty and staff who give back to the school. These gifts come on top of countless hours spent volunteering, tutoring, coaching, and mentoring. Simply put, philanthropy connects people to The Woodlands Christian Academy in a deeper way and makes the community strong.
Raising funds at Woodlands Christian is not simply about accumulating dollars to meet the needs of the school. It is also about being good stewards of the resources provided to Woodlands Christian by parents, grandparents, alumni and friends. We strive to honor God in the way we use the funds as we are not only investing in the school but also in your children.
Giving to Woodlands Christian continues the legacy of our mission statement of educating the whole person for the glory of God and to become faithful disciples of Him. A Woodlands Christian education represents an investment made by parents, teachers, and a wide community of generous people. The School looks to today’s community to become a part of the investment by giving of their time, abilities and resources. We invite you to become a part of this culture of philanthropy through selfless service to Woodlands Christian, our community and the world.
