Do you have to be a Christian to enroll at Woodlands Christian?

Yes. Parents must be in agreement with our statement of faith and attending church. The completed application also requires a letter of recommendation from a pastor.

All Woodlands Christian employees are Christian and sign the same statement of faith.

Is Woodlands Christian accredited?

Yes. Woodlands Christian is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and AdvancED. The accrediation process is a detailed process requiring a tremendous amount of time and effort; it assures you that the school meets and exceeds national standards.

What grades do you offer?

Woodlands Christian is a college preparatory day school enrolling students in PreK through 12th grade.

To qualify for our PreK program children must be 4 years old by September 1 of the enrolling year.

What about security on campus?

Campus security is taken seriously. Upon arrival, all visitors are required to present a valid drivers license to the receptionist. In partnership with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, Deputies routinely visit campus throughout the school day. Security cameras are also located throughout campus.

How much is tuition?

Tuition is an investment in your child's future. At Woodlands Christian, we attempt to be as transparent as possible regarding tuition, fees and other expenses, alleviating any hidden or unexpected costs.

When researching options for education you will want to consider not just the cost of tuition, but the total cost to attend the school.

Do you use technology in the classroom?

Yes! Technology is integrated into the classroom at every grade level. Smartboards are used in every classroom Pre K through 12th grade. Each student has access to an age appropriate Apple device throughout the day.

Where do your graduates go to college?

Our graduates are accepted at top state universities, military academies, private colleges and international schools.

Graduates from the class of 2016 were accepted at 150 different 4 year universities. The class of 2016 was offered $4,033,053 in merit-based scholarships, averaging over $115,230 per student.

Do students go on field trips/travel?

Yes! Students take local field trips to enrich classroom curriculum throughout the school year.

In addition to these local day trips, Woodlands Christian sponsors annual educational trips; we call this Learning Beyond the Walls :

What is your student retention rate?

Over the past 3 years, Woodlands Christian has maintained an impressive average student retention rate of 93%. Coupled with this retention rate we have seen a steady annual enrollment growth of approximately 12% per year.

Do you have extracurricular activities?

Yes! At Woodlands Christian our passion for well rounded education necessitates a host of extracurricular activities at every grade level. Below is a list of some of our most popular programs.

Is there a dress code?

Yes. There is a daily dress code and a chapel uniform. Friday is spirit day and students may wear a school spirit shirt with denim shorts or jeans.

Do students take standardized tests?

Yes! Our students take standardized tests each Spring. Feedback from these test results establish a baseline and allows us to compare our students to a national standard.

Is the school work challenging?

Woodlands Christian is a college preparatory school. Beginning in Prekindergarten, the curriculum and instruction at each grade level is carefully designed to prepare students for success at the next level.

Do you have a College Advisor on staff?

Yes! Our College Advisor is dedicated to assisting students in their pursuit of college choices. All graduates receive the opportunity to attend college and average between 2 - 7 acceptances, contingent upon their number of applications.

Class size?

At Woodlands Christian we pride ourselves on ideal student to teacher ratios. Ratios vary by grade level.

Our faculty to student ratio is an averaged 1:10

Are your teachers certified?

Our teachers are all college graduates and certified in their fields of study. They pursue the opportunity for continuing education credits throughout the year to remain current in the advancement of education. Our teachers average 15 years of classroom teaching experience.

Do you offer a hot lunch program?

Yes! We have a fabulous Chef in The Warrior Cafe. Several hot entrees to choose from as well as a selection of deli items, salad bar and amazing desserts are offered daily! Students are also welcome to bring their own lunch.

Do you offer before and after school care?

Yes! We are happy to accommodate your busy schedule. With advance notice, lower school students can be dropped off as early as 7:00 am. Your child will be cared for in a well supervised area until the start of school. After school care is provided on a regular or as needed basis until 6:00 pm, no advance notice required. Parents are billed for this extended care on a monthly basis.

Do you have a school nurse?

Yes! Our clinic is staffed with a Registered Nurse throughout the school day.

What are the school hours?

Upper School (5th-12th Grade) 8:00 - 3:30

Before and after school activities may require early arrival or later dismissal

Lower School (PreK-4th Grade) 8:15 - 3:20

Before and after school care is available as necessary

Extra curricular activities may require a later dismissal.
