Summer Stock 2022

Welcome,

The last two weeks with these amazing students have been wonderful. I am so thankful for each one these incredibly talented students.

Our show starts off with a group of performers traveling to their next gig when, all of a sudden, their bus breaks down. This creates a huge problem as now they can’t get to their next performance and leaves them with no one to perform for. Thankfully their bus breaks down right outside of TWCA where there is an audience in need of being entertained! You!

The verse for our camp comes from Colossians 1:16:

For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or ruler or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.

My hope is that the students will know that their talents were given to them by God, and they are to use them for his Glory.

I want to thank my partner in crime Mrs. King, and my wonderful student choreographer Danielle Browning for sharing their talents with us. Thank you again for allowing your child to participate in Summer Stock. I am truly blessed and thankful!

Enjoy the show!

Blessings,

Palvin Williams, Director

What to Do in the Theater

A live performance is a unique experience shared between performers and the audience. Unlike television or movies, the actors on stage can hear noise from the audience. So, as a courtesy to the performers and the others around you, please review the following information with your class and chaperones before attending a performance.

  • Do not bring any food, drink, candy or gum with you into the theatre.
  • Walk in the theatre and use the railings as you are using the stairs.
  • Once you are in your seat, you may talk quietly until the performance begins.
  • Keep your feet off the seats and do not step over seat backs.
  • Photography, video recording and audio recording are not allowed in the theater
  • When the lights dim for the performance to begin, stop talking, turn your attention to the stage and enjoy the show.
  • Stay in your seat during the performance.
  • During the performance listen and watch closely. A live performance is not a video that you can rewind if you miss something.
  • At the end of the performance, thank the performers by applauding. In return, they will thank you with a bow as you applaud.
  • As you exit the theatre, remember to walk and stay with your group.
