Technology Information
About our Tech
Devices:
Teachers are assigned MacBook Pros. They are also given an iPad, keyboard, and Apple Pencil, if they have students who use one. In their classrooms, our teachers have touch enabled Projectors with an Apple TV and have Promethean interactive white boards.
Students PreK-8 use an iPad, keyboard, and an Apple Pencil. High School students are assigned the latest generation MacBook Pros when they enroll.
Management:
We utilize JAMF Pro connected to Apple School Manager to offer Managed Apple IDs to our students and Apple Classroom for our teachers.
Helpdesk Class
In our Technology Helpdesk class, students act as interns while they work with our staff to become Apple Certified Macintosh Technicians (ACMT). The students work with our own ACMT certified staff to learn the necessary skills to obtain the certification themselves. Throughout the year, they assist with repairs on faculty and student computers, while working through their modules in Atlas, Apples online certification curriculum. At the end of the school year students obtain their certification and some are given the opportunity to work a paid internship over the summer.
