Lower School (PreK-4th)

Teaching Philosophy

At Woodlands Christian we are not limited to a single curriculum or publisher. We choose from the best curriculum and teach from a Christian world view.

Teachers are the living curriculum in the classroom, using their creativity and personal style to maximize instruction.

Our early childhood program emphasizes learning through instruction and creative play; establishing a foundation in the core subjects; reading, writing, math, science, history and Bible as well as music, art, physical education and foreign language. As students progress through lower school, the core subjects build on one another and master classes are added to their school day, preparing them for successful transition to middle school.
