A Day in the Life of Your Future Kindergartner

Kindergarten Programs

TWCA offers a full-day kindergarten program that provides an optimal balance of structured learning, intentional play, and enrichment activities.

We are also pleased to offer a Spanish Immersion kindergarten program, which sets the stage for bilingual proficiency and offers lifelong cognitive and cultural benefits. Space is limited, so parents are encouraged to express interest in this program as early as possible.

A Learning Environment Where Every Child is Embraced and Encouraged

We are deeply committed to creating an ideal learning environment for our kindergarten students. With optimal class sizes, your child will receive individual attention and the space they need to feel comfortable and confident. We believe in partnering closely with parents to meet each kindergartner at their unique starting point.

  • Care and support. Teachers are able to offer individualized attention to students and utilize leveled work groups to ensure each child is explicitly taught and challenged appropriately.
  • Parent engagement: As a parent, you will be kept closely connected to your child’s classroom experience, and regularly updated on their progress.
  • A stimulating environment. From the playground to our interactive learning centers, our kindergarten spaces offer the movement opportunities young learners thrive on.
  • Dedicated teachers. Our teachers are not only experts in their field, they are passionate about sharing the light of Jesus and guiding students to embody Christian character traits.

“The dedication and support my children have received from their teachers and [TWCA] administration has been incredible. They're always an email or phone call away — and they never leave me guessing on my child's progress. I don't think we would get this type of support and communication at any other school.”

A Safe, Experiential Approach to Learning

Active learning through collaborative activities guides students to an age-appropriate understanding of core subjects. Teachers utilize hands-on manipulatives, music, and tactile experiences to increase student understanding, as well as their zeal for learning.

At the kindergarten level, core subject areas include:

  • Bible
  • Math
  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Science
  • Social Studies

Purposeful Technology Integration

At TWCA, technology is used with intention and care. As an Apple Distinguished School, we provide each kindergarten student with an iPad, ensuring age-appropriate usage (10-15 minutes at a time) focused on personalized learning in math and reading that align with the curriculum. Our classrooms are also equipped with interactive Promethean boards, enhancing whole-group instruction with activities that let students write, drag, drop, and showcase their skills in dynamic, hands-on ways they love.

A Safe Environment

We want you to have full peace of mind while your child thrives at school. At TWCA, safety is our highest priority in kindergarten and beyond. Don’t hesitate to ask about our comprehensive security measures, including secure entrances, surveillance systems, and a highly trained staff to ensure a safe learning environment daily.

"My favorite thing about teaching kindergarten is witnessing the sheer wonder and curiosity that young children bring to the classroom. Their eagerness to learn is truly inspiring, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see their profound growth from month to month; they are completely different students from the beginning to the end. Being part of their journey as they recognize their potential and boost their confidence is the best reward of all. It’s a privilege to help them discover their abilities and embrace the excitement of learning! Teaching has profoundly impacted my life by giving me a sense of purpose and the rewarding opportunity to positively influence children and their families. Each day, I witness my students grow and succeed, which drives my passion for education."
