Professional Qualifications:

Responsibilities:
- Create lesson plans for each class based on your experience and the students' specific needs

Position Purpose
The Woodlands Christian Academy is seeking a MS English Teacher for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year beginning August 1, 2026. The Teacher is responsible, under the direction of the Head of Middle School, for teaching assigned content, managing student behavior, supporting students’ emotional and academic needs, evaluating student learning profile and learning needs, and establishing class activities, lessons, routines, and procedures to provide the optimal learning of all students.
Essential Functions
- Teaches content and skills in assigned content area(s).
- Communicates material to students in a confident and clear matter, responds to student questions, provides interactive lessons, and otherwise ensures students’ optimal learning.
- Appropriately manages classroom and students, providing proper supervision regarding student conduct and interaction.
- Responds appropriately in the event of an emergency, ensuring that students are safe and following safety guidelines.
- Communicates effectively with parents, including via report cards, conferences, and email; timely responds to any concerns raised by parents or others.
- Attends and participates in required faculty meetings.

Position Purpose
The Christian Development Instructor will implement a rigorous academic program in Christian Development for students and will provide opportunities for maximum student development and growth through developmentally appropriate learning experiences. The teacher will design and implement a wide variety of instructional strategies that will accommodate various learning styles in accordance with the school curriculum and mission statement. The teacher is responsible, under the direction of the Principal, for teaching assigned content to one or more grade levels, managing student behavior, supporting students’ emotional and academic needs, evaluating student learning profile and learning needs, and establishing class activities, lessons, routines, and procedures to provide the optimal learning of all students.

Position Purpose
The Woodlands Christian Academy is seeking a Lower School Team Teacher to join our team of experienced, motivated, and effective teaching professionals. The successful candidate will assist in a classroom of 10–15 students and support the instructional efforts of the Lead Teacher. TWCA strives to create an inspiring and enriching atmosphere for both students and personnel. Team Teachers are encouraged to interact with students on a personal level, identify individual learning patterns, and support student growth through physical activity, interactive learning, and the use of props, educational tools, and technology.
Essential Functions
- Assists the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and instructional support.
- Helps monitor and facilitate student learning activities and escorts students to other areas of the campus as needed.
- Supports small-group and individual student learning, encouraging participation and engagement.
- Assists in maintaining a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Encourages creativity and engagement through interactive activities, including art, crafts, and hands-on learning opportunities.
