Athletics/Head Cheer Coach

Job Title: Athletics/Head Cheer Coach
We are seeking applicants with cheer and coaching experience. Candidates should have experience coaching stunting. Qualified Candidates will insure safety precautions and necessary training is in place for all members. Attend team meetings. Reports and coordinates with the Athletic Director. The Head Cheer Coach is responsible for developing, maintaining, and implementing a highly efficient, organized, professional, and Christ-centered Cheer Program. The Head Cheer Coach reports to the Athletic Director and works closely with the Cheer Program Coordinator.
Compensation for this position is in the form of a stipend paid out over the course of the school year.
General Duties and Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)
Organization and Communication
- Maintain up to date scheduling of practices, game performances, pep rallies, and other performances as necessary.
- Be proficient with the use of electronic communication (email).
- Regularly (weekly) send up to date information to parents and students regarding the program. This includes, but is not limited to: Practices, performances, attire, equipment, trips, parties, athletic banquets, etc.
- Keep detailed records of cheer related issues. This includes, but is not limited to: Cheerleader attendance, rules infractions, transportation requests from parents, student billing, issued equipment, cheer tryout forms, tryout material, purchase order requests, receipts, etc.
- Communicates regularly (weekly) with the Cheer Program Coordinator on all logistics, performance routines, and music selection.
Facilities and Equipment
- Works to protect the integrity of all school equipment and facilities used by the cheer program. This includes, but is not limited to, the storage of goods, following proper maintenance procedures, and safe use of the facilities.
- Conducts inventory of equipment and facilities at the beginning and end of each year.
School Athletic Policies
- Ensures that all cheerleaders are in compliance with all school athletic department policies.
- Maintain personal compliance with all school and TAPPS athletic department policies
School and Community Relations
- Available to meet with parents to discuss concerns or issues that come up during the year.
- Available to meet regularly with the Cheer Program Coordinator and the Athletic Director.
- Ensures a timely response to all parent and administrative requests.
Professionalism
- Attends yearly professional development opportunities.
- Dresses appropriately at all school related events and cheer practices.
- Uses professionalism at all times in behavior with students, parents, school staff, and members of the community.
Safety
- Understands and implements industry safety guidelines and best practices as they relate to cheer stunts and acrobatics.
- Holds cheerleaders accountable for safe practice and behavior.
- Plans and implements emergency procedures at all practices and performances.
Practices
- Develops efficient practice routines using best practices in cheer instruction.
- Coordinates practice dates/times with emphasis on time for academic study and participation in other athletic endeavors.
- Plans practices carefully so as to maximize the time of the athletes.
Games/Performances
- Distributes responsibility for game management to all personnel.
- Works with the Athletic Office to coordinate transportation to and from all away events.
- Leads the squad at all pep rallies, football games, home basketball games, playoff basketball games, and other appropriate opportunities as is required by the Athletic Director.
Qualifications and Skills Preferred:
- Interpersonal skills necessary to manage efficiently and courteously a diverse group of constituents
- Excellent organizational, accurate verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to utilize online calendars for completion of tasks and planning.
- Ability to multi-task and work under deadlines and pressure.
- A professed and practicing Christian
- Certified Cheer Coach through the NFHS.
- Has completed or will complete prior to the season the Fundamentals of Coaching Cheer and Dance.
- AACCA Spirit Safety Certification.

We are currently seeking a Part-time Nurse
Accepting applications for day-to-day part-time nurse. Responsibilities include first aid, dispensing medication, symptom evaluation and treatment of students.
Essential Job Functions:
· Communicate with parents regarding injuries, illnesses, other visits to the nurse as needed
· Administer daily and as needed and prescribed medications (inhalers, antibiotics)
· Communicate with administrators regarding student health/emotional concerns
Additional Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
· Assist in collection of immunization, Medication Authorization, and other medical forms necessary for attendance
· Provide nursing care as needed to School Events
Required Qualifications: (Skills, experience, education/certification, etc.)
· Current RN or LVN license
· Experience as a school nurse, or pediatrics in a physician or hospital setting.
· Proficient computer and word processing/Excel skills

Job Title: Assistant Middle School Principal (Grades 5-8)
Reports To: High School/Lower School Principals
Job Description: Oversee the curriculum, discipline and student activities for Middle School
Professional Qualifications:
Education: Master’s Degree in Education or related field
Certification: State Teaching Certification or ACSI Certification
Experience: Minimum of three years curriculum and administration experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership
- Take a lead role in all subject curriculum coordination, development and management for the Middle School.
- Lead, inspire and empower the Middle School community to achieve the Governance Board’s Ends – spiritually, academically, physically and socially.
- Enforce Woodlands Christian’s student policies in Middle School.
- Administer the extra-curricular programs, activities and clubs in the Middle School.
- Effectively articulate the mission, philosophy, policies and procedures of Woodlands Christian and its Middle School.
- Serve as a spiritual role-model and mentor to the greater school community.
Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the High School and Lower School Principals, develop, review, revise and align the Middle School curriculum for all subjects vertically and horizontally, working closely with the Middle School faculty and other Assistant Principals.
- Assist the High School and Lower School Principals in planning and implementing professional development programs for teachers.
- Supervise the teaching/coaching process to continuously improve the academic process and integrate a biblical world-view in each Middle School classroom.
- Maintain student discipline consistent with school policies; monitor students' adherence to established school rules and maintain accurate student attendance records.
- Oversee the coordination and establish guidelines for the co-curricular and extracurricular activity programs of the Middle School. Assist in the planning and presentation of school assemblies and programs, maintain a comprehensive calendar of school events and keep the entire school community informed of various division programs and activities.
- Confer with teachers, students, and parents on student management, positive behavior plans and discipline issues.
- Establish and maintain communication with staff, students, and parents and encourage positive parent-teacher student relationships and community and parent involvement.
- Assist in planning for and leading the academic, social, and spiritual transition of students from Lower School to Middle School and from Middle School to High School.
Other Responsibilities
- Possess a strong Christian testimony and be an active member of a Bible-believing church.
- Attend faculty devotions and commit to prayer for the school community.
- Serve as a positive Christian role model to our students and pursue Christ-like behavior.
