Position Purpose:
As a STEAM Teacher at TWCA, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational landscape by leading both introductory and advanced courses in engineering design. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a technical mindset and a passion for guiding the next generation of engineering professionals. The teacher under the direction of the Director of STEAM, is responsible for teaching assigned content, managing student behavior, supporting students’ emotional and academic needs, evaluating student learning profile and learning needs, and establishing class activities, lessons, routines, and procedures to provide the optimal learning of all students. In addition to academics, the STEAM Teacher will grow TWCA students spiritually.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Innovative Teaching Methods: Demonstrate and teach Engineering, Technology & Design principles offering a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time. Provide students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate, fostering a hands-on learning environment that encourages creative problem-solving and the development of workable solutions.
- Individualized Instruction: Conduct ongoing assessments of student growth and progress in Engineering, Technology & Design activities. Modify instructional methods to cater to the unique needs of each student.
- Continuous Professional Development: Stay at the forefront of the field by actively participating in professional development. Attend seminars, workshops, and engage in professional learning communities to remain abreast of the latest developments in Engineering, Technology & Design.
- CTE Student Organization Coordination: Take the lead in coordinating activities for the CTE Student Organization (TSA) at local, regional, state, and/or national competitions. Foster a sense of teamwork and excellence among students.
- Teaches content and skills in assigned content area(s).
- Communicates material to students in a confident and clear manner, responds to student questions, provides interactive lessons, and otherwise ensures students’ optimal learning.
- Appropriately manages classroom and students, providing proper supervision regarding student conduct and interaction.
- Communicates effectively with parents, including via report cards, conferences, and email; timely responds to any concerns raised by parents or others.
- Attends and participates in required faculty meetings.
- Attends and participates meaningfully in grade level field trips.
- Attends and participates meaningfully in occasional functions out of the normal workday, evening, and weekend such as Beyond the Wall trips.
- Performs hall duty as assigned, watching for, and addressing inappropriate student interactions and reporting any concerning behavior to Administration.
- Responds appropriately in the event of an emergency, ensuring that students are safe and following safety guidelines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Teaching certification.
- Proven experience in teaching STEAM courses, particularly in engineering design.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, parents, and the public.
- Ability to independently supervise 20 or more students.
- Ability to handle emergency situations, fire drills, and communications as necessary or appropriate for the safety of the students and school.

Position Purpose
The Dean of Student Life is responsible for fostering character development and personal growth among Middle School students; providing leadership in development and management of student discipline, accountability, and social activities toward achieving the mission, vision, and ends goals of The Woodlands Christian Academy (TWCA).

The Woodlands Christian Academy is looking for bilingual individuals who are passionate about Christian education to join our team of experienced, motivated and effective teaching professionals in the 2024/2025 school year. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a growing dual language immersion program as part of a diverse and united team. In our immersion program, students receive all academic content instruction completely in Spanish while at the same time becoming familiar with the cultures that speak Spanish. The successful candidate will assume a classroom of 10-15 students. We strive in every way to create an inspiring and enriching atmosphere both for our students and our personnel. Position Title: Lower School, Middle School, and High School Teachers
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Reports To: Principal
Status: Full-Time
Work Schedule: M-F (7:30AM-4:00PM)
Position Purpose:
The Woodlands Christian Academy is seeking teachers for the upcoming 2024/2025 school year beginning August 1, 2024. The Teacher is responsible, under the direction of the Principal, for teaching assigned content, managing student behavior, supporting students’ emotional and academic needs, evaluating student learning profile and learning needs, and establishing class activities, lessons, routines, and procedures to provide the optimal learning of all students.
Essential Functions:
- Teaches content and skills in assigned content area(s).
- Communicates material to students in a confident and clear matter, responds to student questions, provides interactive lessons, and otherwise ensures students’ optimal learning.
- Appropriately manages classroom and students, providing proper supervision regarding student conduct and interaction.
- Responds appropriately in the event of an emergency, ensuring that students are safe and following safety guidelines.
- Communicates effectively with parents, including via report cards, conferences, and email; timely responds to any concerns raised by parents or others.
- Attends and participates in required faculty meetings.
- Performs hall duty as assigned, watching for and addressing inappropriate student interactions and reporting any concerning behavior to Administration.
- Attends and participates meaningfully in grade level field trips.
- Attends and participates meaningfully in occasional functions out of the normal workday, evening and weekend such as Beyond the Wall trips.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in education or a related field.
- 3 years of successful teaching in field preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, parents, and the public.
- Ability to independently supervise 20 or more students.
- Ability to handle emergency situations, fire drills, and communications as necessary or appropriate for the safety of the students and school.

- Possess a strong Christian testimony and be an active member of a Bible-believing church.
- Commit to personal spiritual development.
- Serve as a positive Christian role model to students and pursue Christ-like behavior.
- Be a responsible steward of TWCA’s resources and personally support TWCA’s fundraising efforts at a level as able.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
The ideal candidate can:
- Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
- Work in standard office conditions and climate.
- Work in varied extreme outside weather conditions during special activities and fundraising events, as needed.
- Perform in a highly stressful environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines and a varied and diverse array of contacts.
- Sit and stand for extended periods of time; bend, stoop, climb stairs, and reach overhead.
- Hear and understand speech at normal classroom levels, outdoors and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in normal classrooms, outdoors, and on the telephone.
