Position Purpose:
The Assistant Head of Upper School supports the leadership, management, and daily operations of the Upper School. - Partner with the Associate Head of School for Academics and the Director of Curriculum and Instruction in reviewing, revising and aligning the Upper School curriculum for all subjects vertically and horizontally.
- Assist with planning and implementing professional development programs for teachers.
- Supervise the teaching and coaching process to continuously improve the academic experience and integrate a biblical worldview in all aspects of the curriculum.
- Lead efforts to ensure a smooth academic and social transition of students entering the Upper School and preparing for graduation.
- Complete key strategic plan goals outlined and assigned in the current TWCA Strategic Plan.
- Engage in professional development opportunities to remain current on trends in education and innovative new approaches to administration and curriculum development.

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree preferred.

Position Purpose:
The Woodlands Christian Academy is seeking a Director of Marketing and Communications to provide strategic leadership and oversight for all marketing, branding, communications, and media initiatives of the school. This position is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strategies that strengthen the school’s market presence, increase enrollment, deepen parent engagement, and enhance community visibility.
The Director supervises a team of four marketing and communications professionals and works collaboratively with Enrollment, Advancement, Academic Leadership, Athletics, and The Arts to ensure mission-aligned messaging and brand consistency across all platforms.
Essential Functions:
- Rapidly acclimate to the school’s history, culture, traditions, constituencies, and educational philosophy; develop a deep understanding of the school’s mission and community.
- Design and implement comprehensive marketing and communications strategies aligned with institutional priorities and enrollment goals.
- Ensure brand and messaging quality and consistency across all departments, activities, and events.
- Supervise the Marketing and Communications Department, providing leadership, direction, feedback, and professional development to a team of four.
- Partner with the Enrollment team to develop and execute strategies that increase inquiries, applications, enrollment yield, and long-term retention.
- Collaborate with Parent Relations to ensure proactive, consistent, and effective communication with current families.

- Ensure consistent branding, compelling storytelling, and effective promotion across all Advancement communications and events.
- Oversee all internal and external communications, including website content and strategy; email communications and newsletters; social media platforms; online and digital advertising campaigns; videography and photography; and publications such as annual reports, admissions materials, handbooks, and promotional collateral.
- Plan and execute campaigns for school promotion, major initiatives, and community engagement.
- Monitor campaign performance, analyze data, and provide reports with insights and recommendations.
- Develop and manage the departmental budget, including vendor relationships and contract negotiations.
- Create and execute a plan that regularly places the school in local and regional media.
- Serve as the school’s primary marketing liaison to external media, stakeholders, and community partners.
- Review, revise, and update the school’s crisis communication plan as necessary.

Qualifications:

Position Purpose
The Summer RISE Camp Nurse is responsible for overseeing the health and wellness of all Summer RISE campers and staff, as well as applicable TWCA employees participating in summer programming. This position supports the mission, vision, and ends goals of The Woodlands Christian Academy (TWCA) by promoting a safe, healthy, and well-supervised camp environment through the delivery of medical care, health monitoring, emergency response, medication administration, and health record management.
Essential FunctionsHealth and Safety
- Provide first aid and basic medical care to campers and staff.
- Monitor and assess illnesses, injuries, and health-related concerns throughout the camp day.
- Administer medications safely and maintain accurate medication logs.
- Assess and care for students during clinic visits.
- Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and health incidents.
- Assist in emergency situations, fire drills, and other safety-related procedures as necessary.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency medication drop-off and retrieval with parents/guardians.
- Prepare and distribute first aid supplies for camp leaders.
- Maintain and manage all medical documentation within CampBrain, including but not limited to:
- Camper medication lists
- Health conditions
- Food allergies
- EpiPen documentation
- Document all clinic visits and medical interactions in CampBrain.

Camp Operations

- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required.

Apple Certified Macintosh Technician Teacher

The Helpdesk Specialist teaches the Apple Certified Macintosh Technician class for High School students while running the Technology Helpdesk in support of faculty, staff, and students.
Essential Functions:

Maintain the required Apple certifications to perform assigned duties.

Trains the Tech Aides to repair student laptops and troubleshoot common IT problems on campus.

- Prepares Tech Aides throughout the year to become Apple Certified Technicians.

- Performs maintenance on projectors, SmartBoards, Apple TV's, computers, printers, and other classroom technology.

Essential Functions:
Instruction & Curriculum
- Teach foundational keyboarding skills, including proper finger placement, posture, accuracy, and fluency.
- Instruct students in the effective use of digital tools for communication, research, and learning.
- Introduce age-appropriate research skills, including locating information, using digital resources responsibly, and understanding basic source awareness.
- Integrate digital citizenship topics, including online safety, respectful communication, privacy, and wise media use.
- Differentiate instruction to meet varying student skill levels and learning needs.
- Model and teach responsible, ethical technology use grounded in Biblical principles.

Position Purpose

School Concessions Worker

Position Title: School Concessions Worker
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt/Hourly
Reports To: Director of Food Service
Status: Part-Time / Seasonal
Work Schedule: Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and occasionally holidays based on the school’s event schedule.
Position Purpose
The Concessions Worker is responsible for supporting school programs and events by providing friendly, fast, and accurate service to students, families, and visitors while assisting with food preparation, point-of-sale transactions, cleanliness, inventory restocking, and safe concession operations to promote the mission, vision, and ends goals of The Woodlands Christian Academy (TWCA).
Essential Functions
Customer Service and Food Service
- Greet guests in a polite, professional, and enthusiastic manner to ensure a positive experience for students, families, and visitors.
- Prepare and serve concession items such as popcorn, hot dogs, nachos, pretzels, and beverages in accordance with food safety and health guidelines.
- Provide fast, friendly, and accurate service during school events.
Point-of-Sale and Transactions
- Operate a point-of-sale system or register to take orders and process credit card and other cashless transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Learn and effectively use Square or other cashless POS systems as needed.
Sanitation, Cleaning, and Safety
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation throughout concession operations.
- Clean and maintain counters, grills, popcorn machines, equipment, floors, and surrounding work areas.
- Sweep, mop, and handle trash removal as needed.
- Follow all food handling, health, safety, and school safety policies and procedures.
Inventory, Setup, and Communication
- Restock food, beverage, and concession supply items from storage before, during, and after events.
- Assist with event setup and closing procedures, including opening concession areas, turning on equipment, cleaning, and securing operations at the end of the night.
- Report broken equipment, maintenance concerns, or low inventory levels to the Director of Food Service immediately.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or customer service is preferred, but not required.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and occasionally holidays based on the school’s event schedule.
- Must possess a valid Food Handler’s Permit/Certification or be willing to obtain one within one week of hire.
- Ability to learn and operate a cashless POS/Square system.
- Ability to work well on a team, including alongside parents, volunteers, and staff.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a high-volume setting under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Regular and punctual attendance required.
