Position Title: Digital Storytelling Producer
Reports To: Director of Communications
Job Type: Full-time.
Position Purpose:
The Woodlands Christian Academy is seeking a creative, highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fulfill the role of Digital Storytelling Producer. This position will work within the Marketing & Communications department.
The Digital Storytelling Producer will play a pivotal role in defining how our most ambitious storytelling—from individual pieces to complex content packages—best comes to life in digital platforms. In this hands-on, imaginative and engaging role, the producer will showcase TWCA’s employees, students, mission, vision, values, and milestones – internally and externally. This role also requires someone who is capable of producing compelling stories and multimedia content under tight deadlines.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in photography and videography, excellent interpersonal abilities, proven writing skills and the ability to multitask effectively. The Digital Storytelling Producer will be an excellent communicator who can discover and tell TWCA’s multifaceted stories, and understands all aspects of social media marketing from conception to production and from completion to measurement of effectiveness.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in multimedia communications, marketing or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience conceptualizing and creating interactive digital content experiences
- Extensive experience producing all aspects of video content, including ideation, filming, editing, audio/music enhancement and graphics
- Experience building and managing editorial calendars and production schedules.
- Demonstrated skill for photography for events coverage, in studio, both staged and spontaneous platforms
- Self-starter, detail-oriented, organized, and highly skilled in time and project management
- Ability to think critically, work collaboratively in teams and independently
- Excellent writing skills across social, digital and print platforms
- Strong working knowledge of digital/social media tools and platforms
- Ability to utilize data analytics to make informed decisions concerning content strategy
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Spearhead the ideation, creation, production and sharing of photo and video stories internally and externally
- Chart an integrated editorial calendar that maps to school events and milestones, as well as external trends, national holidays and professional recognition days
- Coordinate communications to improve employee and key audience engagement through more robust use of videos and multimedia content
- Produce (film, narrate, edit and package) a broad range of video content, including news-style stories, administrator messages, and school news/updates
- Build organic social media strategies and content calendars from inception to launch through scheduling & posting software
- Provide photography and video of school events, editing of captured media, art direction and video production
- Maintain and curate photo/video and digital design content and graphics on storage platforms: Dropbox, Vidigami, Vype drive, etc.
- Collaborate with Marketing & Communications team members on additional projects to meet overall strategic plan goals

Physical Requirements:
- Position requires mobility with walking, standing for long periods of time, reaching, or bending (often outside when temperatures are high)
- Occasionally may be required to lift up to 25 pounds
- Regular computer use requiring good vision, depth perception, repetitive arm and hand motion, and manual dexterity
- Regularly talk, hear, observe, and speak with faculty, staff, and donors
