High School (Grades 9th - 12th)


The High School program at TWCA offers students a challenging, Christ-centered liberal arts curriculum. At TWCA we believe that all truth is God’s truth and that God’s truths are revealed in Scripture. Thus, we combine a vigorous intellectual pursuit with the study of God’s Word to produce students who have mastered the true goal of education: "learning to learn for themselves."

In grades 9-12, students become independent thinkers and communicators and learn to clearly express thoughts and beliefs. Learning is truly accomplished if the student can express what has been taught through research papers and debates. Students research important themes and present those concepts in papers and speeches. They discuss and debate world events and explore career options.

The high school program hones eloquence, poise, and academic initiative. A Biblical application of the Socratic Method creates a dynamic classroom environment for learning and students who have a desire and a passion to learn. TWCA graduates will be well-prepared to become lifelong learners. We aim to graduate young men and women who think clearly and listen carefully with discernment and understanding; who reason persuasively and articulate precisely; who are capable of evaluating their entire range of experience in the light of the Scriptures; and who do so with eagerness in joyful submission to God.

TWCA students will be taught that:

• They are individually and wonderfully created in the very image of God
• Their teacher’s faith is essential to who they are TWCA students will learn:
• To nurture an eternal view of life
• To reach their full potential in Christ
• To develop a godly perspective on humanity, the development of culture and how they live in the world
• To deal with the challenges of trying to live victoriously, often in difficult circumstances and with difficult people
• To understand their individual responsibility to society, including the importance of serving and encouraging others Faith and learning are integrated in such a way as to develop students who do not compartmentalize the spiritual side of life from the rest of life.
