The TWCA Lower School Speech Meet is an annual event celebrating the amazing speaking talents of our school's elementary students.  Participants in grades 1 through 5^th grade may compete in the following categories:

All participants will receive an award based on the following scale:      Superior 45-50                                                                                      Excellent 37-44          
Good      24-36                                                                                              Honorable Mention 0 -23

Students with the highest scores will be eligible to represent TWCA at the Association of Christian Schools International (ASCI) District Speech Meet.

PRE-SELECTED PERFORMANCE PIECES:                                                          If you would like your child to participate in this rewarding opportunity, please e-mail or call Mrs. Lunsford, the speech meet coordinator.  The performance pieces are pre-selected and may be accessed online.  Link will be posted Fall 2010

There are three objectives for participating this event:

1. Encourage effective speech in an audience setting.
2. Help students develop techniques to speak articulately, expressively and with poise and confidence.
3. Develop communication skills that will contribute to effective leadership in Christian activities.
